Federal Skilled Worker Class CAPS
Federal skilled worker class caps are being reached fast. It's been only 3 months since the new list came out in June 2011. Already NOC 1122 (business category), NOC 3152 (nurses) have reached its cap and no more applications will be accepted until next June (that too if the categories remain the same). NOC 0631 Restaurant managers are at 230 and NOC 3131 Pharmacists are at 260 and my guess is that within the next 2 months or less these caps will be reached as well. Following behind closely are NOC 3111/3112 the physicians Categories, NOC 2121 Biologists and NOC 3113 Dentists.
If you are already in the process of applying under any of the above fast approaching cap categories or planning on applying - here are some tips. Sit for your IELTS exam immediately. Apply for your police reports from any country you have lived in for over 6 months since 18 years, gather your documents according to the checklist and submit to Central Intake Office (CIO) within the next 30 days. But remember....if your application is incomplete, if any papers or information is missing, it will be returned to you and time does not allow you to make any mistakes.
